Electro Fidget mp3s
Last week I shared a great documentary with you called “The Maestro.” This documentary discussed the Disco and Post-Disco era and it’s influence on Electronic Dance Music today. I hope those of you (who didn’t already know) learned a lot about how Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles, The WareHOUSE parties, The Loft and others influenced the music we love today.

This week however, I’m just posting some choon.

In preparation for an upcoming class about Fidget, Wobble, Wonka beats… I’ve assembled a list of meaty tracks I’ve been playing this summer. I’ve been spinning records for almost 18 years now. I’ve been through many genres so my experience is varied. One thing I learned a long time ago is that if you stick to one style for too long, you can easily be discarded. So, I’ve done what comes natural for me… I’ve continued to enjoy, collect and spin all types of house music for a long time and I’ve never really grown tired of it. Granted there are a couple of genres that I rarely play like (Trance or DnB), but in general, I think there is a time and place for most genres out there and I’m not afraid to mix it up a little when I get a chance. Here we go — and check back for a look into Fidgety, Wobbly, Wonkity Beats:

2 Bit Thugs – Tearing Up The Club (Kelevra’s Pink But Perky Mix)

Calvertron – Ugly Bitch (Original Mix)

Geoff K – Noodles & Disco Balls (Analogue Mix)

Heavyfeet – One Last Time (Klaus Hill Remix)

Lee Mortimer – This Is Real Sh*t (The Deficient Remix)

Ludacris – Stand Up (Valerna Hell Yeah Remix)

Mightyfools – Amsterdam (Boemklatsch Remix)

Pitbull – Toma (ft. Lil Jon) [Mark Lam Remix]

ROFLCOPS! – Doing Drugs TCP Remix)

TJR – Good Evening Chicago (Klaus Hill Remix)

Ursula 1000 – Zombies (Hi Jack Remix)

Zodiac Cartel – Beyond The Dancefloor (Bill Eff Remix)

Six Nine (aka Carl Craig) – My Machines [Planet E Recordings] (1991)

AND NOW… YOU CAN CONSIDER YOURSELF SCHOOLED!
