We’re starting something new here and along with it I’ll be hinting at a very important announcement. First things first though, we’re looking for writers. Pitch us your idea and you could win a permanent spot here to spread your voice among the blogosphere.
Now for the new… a format never done on this site but one that has been successfully applied elsewhere on blogs that we really respect. Its the “massive post” formula and to make it work for our schedule, we will commit to provide one massive post every other week…

You know I hate ordering stuff online because I don’t like to wait for it. I’m all over the UPS tracking 5 or 6 times a day until my package arrives just to make sure they didn’t take a wrong turn or something. And don’t you just hate that they don’t deliver on Saturday? I know, I know… I could request Saturday delivery and pay more or really dish out some extra cash for the overnight option, but I’m a cheap ass so Ground is what it is YO!
You know what’s really hot… when you get a package that you weren’t even expecting (or had forgotten about). Its like Christmas and you can’t wait to bust it open. Well I get that feeling more than most because I’ve got deejays and producers sending me tight ass tracks and dancefloor jams pretty much all day everyday via my email and Soundcloud accounts. For real, its hard to find the time to listen to everything that’s sent my way, but I always hold on to the good stuff for all my Vegan ass friends. This one’s for you kid!

Is hip hop dead? I dunno, but I do know the scene is changing. Of course, St. Louis has always been behind the times when it comes to music trends, but look at what Kanye (recent), Timbaland (old news), and 3-6 (coming soon) are doing and tell me you don’t hear an evolution of the sound. Take it a step further with the Crookers and Kid Cudi and you might be on to something. Perhaps that’s why I don’t spin hip hop (the same ole same ole) anymore…
In a previous post, I mentioned I started the task of clearing out my digital music library. It had grown too large, and a lot of mp3s were useless to me since I made the decision to deejay edm exclusively. I do remember, though, promising to share a small collection of my own unreleased remixes, blends, and mashups from the old days, and that’s what I intend to do today. Enjoy!
