Today’s Halloween hook up theme is Monster Mash because the Mash is a classic and you know you want to hear it. “Monster Mash” is a 1962 novelty song and the best-known song by Bobby “Boris” Pickett. Its been given the remix treatment several times and I’ve never really been terribly impressed, but today I’ve managed to find two fairly decent remixes of the Halloween pop music standard, plus I’m throwing in two phat MONSTER tracks for your sampling pleasure. The rumors are true! MSTRKRFT will be playing in St. Louis this summer. The event will go down June 13 at The Pageant (per MSTRKRFT’s MySpace). The details are not yet posted on the Pageant’s website, but as soon as they are we will let you know here.
