Last week I shared a great documentary with you called “The Maestro.” This documentary discussed the Disco and Post-Disco era and it’s influence on Electronic Dance Music today. I hope those of you (who didn’t already know) learned a lot about how Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles, The WareHOUSE parties, The Loft and others influenced the music we love today.
This week however, I’m just posting some choon.
Choon = MP3s and they’re on the other side >>

Introducing Dialect from Boss Angeles with his self-described “Dirty Stripper Music to Punch People to” music. Definitely has a nice sound – can’t wait to drop some of these remixes in the club or at my next underground gig, especially the Electropussy track… with a lil editing it will be ripe for my set. But the big winner of this group is Boy U Nasty, and I just can’t get enough of this original track.

If you’ve been in this scene for any time at all you MUST know that Electronic Dance Music and Hip Hop have always been joined at the hip. A sort of brother & sister Love/Hate type of relationship. Although it often seems sort of one sided. As in, we LOVE hip hop and they HATE dance music. Nevertheless, the relationships continue. Almost everyone I know loves all sorts of Hip Hop songs. Almost everyone I’ve ever met (be it street thug to Suit & Tie Corporate Type) loves a little Hip Hop. Everyone’s seen the geekiest of geeks talkin’ bout “If you see me in the club, It’s Goin Down” or “Snap Yo Fangas (Do The Step)”.
Get skooled about this love/hate on the flip >>
