Fidget Bassline
Hey everyone, welcome back to Sunday Skool. I hope you enjoyed last week’s tutorial showing you exactly how a sound or tone is made to FIDGET. So, what is the ‘genre’ FIDGET and what’s included? Well, after much research it seems that the original name FIDGET was coined by Jesse Rose and Switch.

short mixes for djs
Have you ever heard a track and thought, “Wow, that’s right on, but there’s just too much going on between the vocals.” Me too. That’s why I always take the time to do some splicing and dicing to create an ideal mix. My philosophy is simple: In order to bring electro/house/techno to the mainstream, you’ve got to take the time to cut out all those extra beats. The process is a simple one. There’s no need to get all technical about it (Girl Talk started out with a simple wave editor and I use Mixmeister Studio). So instead of laying down a lesson in how to cut up a track to make short mixes for djs, here’s three fly ass examples.

Z 107 St Louis
A couple weeks ago I was hyped about bringing you my Inaugural Top Ten, but after a few days, the novelty wore off and the post (idea) lost my interest. I felt in order to maintain an interesting blog (week after week), I should provide readers with new and interesting information… not the same ole same ole.

So rather than bore you with ten songs any cracker off the street could tell you are hot, I’m going to throw out ten hits you won’t hear on St. Louis radio. This post goes out to my fellow deejays. If you’re in the business to tear up the dancefloor, take a look at this list and make sure you’ve got these mixes in your crate. This is what its all about!
