Pappy has been on point with two straight weeks of house roots education, and this video complements his most recent Sunday Skool topics very well. In fact, its so right on, I couldn’t sit on it any longer. Props to Matt Hite for originally introducing me to this video.

“Pump Up the Volume: The History of House Music” is a film that “follows the evolution of house music from its birth in Chicago to the myriad of diverse music it has since spawned.” It’s absolutely fantastic and ironically impossible to purchase a legitimate copy from what I can tell! It was originally broadcast on BBC Channel 4 and has not made it to DVD for a proper release, unfortunately.

Thanks to the wonders of technology, a very kind soul has made it available for viewing on YouTube.
